Awards Gala

The Awards Gala honors those who put their energy, intelligence, and creativity into building a sense of community between Americans and Romanians. For all the good it does, this exceptional work is often left unacknowledged. The Awards Gala, an initiative of the Embassy of Romania to the United States, will bring these heroes into the limelight and showcase the results of their work: strong, tightly-knit communities, better opportunities to nurture the wonderful Romanian heritage and talent – in business, science, sports, and the arts. At the same time, the Gala endorses this year’s theme, “Romania – United States: A Partnership for the Future. Celebrating Romanian Talent”, selected by the Embassy of Romania to the United States as the focus of its 2023 public diplomacy agenda.

The envisaged audience for our Awards Gala will include high-level American and Romanian officials whose portfolios aim to uphold the democratic values we share, with a focus on justice, freedom, and religious expression as core enablers of humanity and human rights. We will be joined by spiritual leaders, outstanding science and innovation figures, business leaders, and other esteemed members of the Romanian-American community. The audience will also be graced by the presence of well-known, beloved artists who will travel from Romania, especially for this evening.
